Between - Men’s Running Collection

February 2026 - March 2026

Technical Drawing
Line Development
Moodboarding

Between reflects the contrasts that have shaped my life.

I transitioned from engineering to design, balanced competitive powerlifting with running, and left my hometown of Toronto to create a new life in Vancouver. Rather than committing to a single path, I’ve always been drawn to the space between them.

This same idea defines Between. The brand explores the intersection of serious technical performance and playful design. Each piece combines innovative materials and thoughtful construction with details that make performance gear feel expressive and less sterile.

Between is designed for people who exist in the middle ground. These individuals navigate different disciplines, environments, training styles, and identities without feeling compelled to choose just one. They share an unwavering desire to learn and explore all that life has to offer on the other side.

BALACLAVA

Designed for Winter Fat-Biking and High-Output Activities

January 2026 - ongoing

Rapid Prototyping
User Group Facilitation
Laser Cutting

The main goal of this project is to develop rapid prototyping skills and to iteratively refine current versions based on feedback from focus groups.

This balaclava features strategically placed, laser-cut perforations at the top of the head and the mouth area to enhance breathability, optimize airflow, and reduce condensation on the eyewear from the user’s breath.

Design inspiration was drawn from Nike ACG’s Radical Airflow running shirt and Arc’teryx LEAF Balaclavas. Each prototype was developed utilizing feedback from multiple focus group sessions with experienced cyclists.

Future iterations will include a more secure fit around the nose and utilize thermal imaging technology to enhance the placement of the perforations.

GORE-TEX JACKET

Designed for Commuting and Casual Wear in Rainy Environments

September 2025 - ongoing

Industrial Sewing Machine Operation
Pattern Making
Material Selection and Sourcing

A daunting project, given that I had no prior pattern-making or sewing experience.

Developed multiple pattern iterations and prototypes by optimizing fit with each version, adding custom features, and comparing various types of Gore-Tex.

Final Prototype Features:
  • Constructed with Gore-Tex TechWool from Arc’teryx’s Veilance Line
  • Waterproof Sealed Seams using Bemis Seam Tape
  • Asymmetrical YKK Zipper
  • Adjustable Bottom Hem
  • Dropped shoulders and waist finish for a boxy silhouette
